My last post was in January. 7 months since my last post. Well, a lot has happened in my absence from this blog. I got through another semester and I have just one more year to go to get my Degree. Faidh got his driving license finally. We got some kick-ass Internet in Desaria. Had awesome housemates last sem. Pasha and Zeeshan from Pakistan and Amith from Kenya. Now it's Pasha, Nas from Malaysia and Ken from Kenya.

Right now I'm at home though. I came back here for Eid cos I got a 1 week break. Going back on Sunday and from then till December it's just work, work, work. We started on our final major project which will take a whole year to complete. Oh yeah, the reason for my absence from my blog all this time is partially cos I didn't have Internet the whole of last semester and I just did not get the time to update it.

So lets get straight to business. There's something that's been niggling me for quite some time now. What is wrong with loving video games? What's wrong with playing video games when you are an adult? Why is it that most of my friends who used to be gamers before they started working behave like it's such a childish thing to do now? Is it cos they grew up or is it cos they did not have time to keep gaming with all their work?

Gaming is not childish. Gaming is just an interactive and more enjoyable way of learning how the world works. When the parents of, say, my generation were kids, the games were just purely fun. There was no thinking involved and they were so addictive that kids played for hours and hours non-stop which drove the parents mad. That's why our grandparents will always give a disapproving snort when they see other people playing video games now. Most parents do as well these days cos they have no interest or idea at the capabilities of video games now.

These days games are so much more. Games now are created with a lot of thought and they make you think as well. Older generations believe they are mindless, noisy things that fry children's minds. Well, it's about time they take a look at games these days. Honestly I can safely say that I have learned almost as much as I learned in school by gaming.

Games like Battlefield and Gran Turismo don't just give you points for killing bad guys or winning a race. They teach physics and other real world stuff. What will happen if you fire a sniper rifle? Sure you can hit the center of a target at 50 meters if you aim directly at the center. Sniper rifles are built to hit targets that are extremely far away. So how about if you aim at the center of a target that's 400 meters away. Are you gonna hit the center again? No you wont cos that's physics. The rifle's bullet loses momentum the further it travels and gravity will do the rest. So in order to hit the target at 400 meters you need to aim above the target. It's the same with all guns.

And how about Gran Turismo. The game has a reputation for being the most realistic racing game up-to-date. It shows that different cars behave differently in various conditions. It shows the different characteristics of rear wheel drive, four wheel drive and front wheel drive vehicles. The differences between vehicles with engines in the front, middle or at the back. How they behave on a dry road and a wet road. The differences in driving in day time and night time. How to tune or maintain a car. People who own cars and drive everyday will say "So what? If you want that realism, why don't you get your own car?". That's fine for anyone who can afford a car or petrol. How about kids? They won't be allowed to drive real cars on the roads cos they need to be at least 16-18 years old to try for their driver's licenses. So why not allow them to learn a thing or two by letting them play games now? It'll also teach adult stuff they don't learn at the driving school.

Take a game like Flight Simulator or Ace Combat. You can actually learn how an aircraft works by playing those games. People who want to be pilots can learn a lot from games like that because they show you what to do and what not to do. My point is that games can be the future of learning. They use car and flight simulators in real life to teach trainees. All that is thanks to games.

I don't give a shit if most people snigger if I say I learned a lot from playing Gran Turismo. It's not a dumb game but a fun way of learning. And people who say stuff like "It's childish" or "Grow up" were most probably never allowed to or did not have the time to enjoy a video game so they say stuff like that to put other people off it as well. It's a matter of "If I don't get it, no one does". Personally, I pity the people who think gaming is for kids and people who say they are 'mature'. They are missing out on a lot.

I have a passion for gaming and I was given the opportunity to pursue that passion. I don't need to be ashamed or embarrassed about saying I'm a Game Designer. I love what I do and nothing is gonna stop me from my passion.

Gamers don't need to 'grow up'. Because a child's mind is a beautiful and creative thing. That's why we, no matter how old we are, should allow the 'little kid' that lives inside us all out for a bit. We can all learn something new that way :)

WRC is for boys, Group-B is for men

I was watching Top Gear( again) the other day and it was the episode where Clarkson and Hammond explain why Lancia produced more great cars than any other car company. And that got me into this whole Group-B rally scene from the 80's. Now I'm a huge WRC fan and to be honest I think the FIA regulations for the WRC right now is just wrong. Think about it. WRC today is basically a championship to determine whether Ford or Citroen is the better team. Same goes for Touring Cars. Roll back the clock 10 years and you'll find that almost every manufacturer from around the world competed in Touring Cars and WRC. I mean in the WRC of the 90's you got Toyota, Ford, Subaru, Mitsubishi, Citroen, Peugeot, Seat and Skoda competing. How did it just come down to Ford and Citroen? Subaru and Mitsubishi especially just made rally cars for the road because they were so good in the WRC. Now they basically pulled out altogether just leaving a few privately owned cars.

That brings me back to Group-B. Now I'm sure readers who are not interested in cars will be yawning at this point so feel free to leave this page. Group-B was introduced to allow manufacturers to create cars specifically for rallying, much like Formula 1. So basically, Group-B rally cars were like the Formula 1 cars of the off-road. Group-B rally cars were the fastest and most dangerous cars ever to compete in rallying. They were incredibly powerful monsters that sounded like hell and went like stink. When I look at the camera-view of a rally car today flying through forests and compare that to a Group-B car flying past hordes of people, I feel this huge respect for the drivers of those days. We are talking about cars that have twice the power of cars of today and are much harder to control. Apparently, more people died (competitors and roadside audience) during this time than any other time in the history of rallying. And it's because of this that Group-B was banned eventually 5 years from when it started.

But I don't think we should blame the monstrous machines for the ban. It's the fans who wanted to get as close to the action as possible who should be blamed. People who stand on the road and jump off the road just before being hit by a speeding car or those who stand too close to the road altogether. You don't stand close to a road when you know a monstrous racing car is gonna be speeding by with no guarantee of safety at all. It's just stupid. Just imagine how distracting it could have been to the drivers. That made the sport dangerous.

But that's why I love the 70's and 80's. Everything then was just so extreme and had no limits whatsoever. Those times are cool full-stop and I wish I could go back in time and experience those days :P Same goes for Formula 1. Those days introduced the extreme turbo-charged monsters with over 1000 horsepower and the Formula 1 legends like Prost and Senna who could actually tame these monstrous machines. I don't think there will ever be times like those again.

I don't think we will see machines like those race ever again but I am still keeping that little bit of hope that one day I will experience something like that one day.

The biggest week

Well honestly, it's the biggest week in for my whole family. My bro got married :) Now I know that this post is a bit late( well, actually very late) but bare with me on this.

The night before the wedding, we had dinner at the couple's place. We transported the gifts to their place before that. My relatives packed the gifts as follows...

Pretty isn't it? After we arranged it all in their place, we had dinner and just chilled out with our relatives.

Farthab and Rushna got married on the 26th of December at Cinnamon Lakeside Hotel. I went to the hotel early so that can have a photo shoot before the crowds come.

The wedding hall was beautifully decorated and at 7pm, the crowds started to arrive. Me and Faidh waited at the entrance of the hall to welcome people along with my uncles and cousins. And then came the bride :)

After she was seated, I went to accompany the groom to the hall with my dad and relatives. Before that, the groom has to sit inside a room just outside the hall with the Imam, our dad, Rushna's dad, brother and relatives and wedding contract is signed.

The big feast followed with amazingly delicious food. After the feast, one of Farthab's friends told me there was a surprise outside for the couple and we went outside to write personal messages on plastic cups that were tied together :P Keep reading and you'll know what the surprise is :P

The photo session started with everyone taking it in turn to take pictures with the couple. Then it was my family's turn. After a pic with us all, my parents took a pic with the couple( sorry I don't have a pic with myself in it cos all the pics in this blog are from my phone).

And the wedding cake...

And now, it's time for the surprise. The couple went outside to find...

and old farm tractor and trailer with balloons, decorations and a 'Just Married' sign on the back with tin cans tied to it :D While the couple stood and stared at it, Farthab's friends came with a necklace of plastic cups with the personal messages on them and put on on Farthab. Then they opened the door of the trailer which, unexpectedly, fell to the ground. The couple was scared to get in the trailer after that but eventually they did and the tractor drove around the car park :P Well, they cant go all the way to their place in it cos the max speed of the contraption is like 5km per hour and it'll only take them about 2 days to reach the place :P

So after they got off the tractor( very quickly), they got into the Mercedes wedding car and went off home. We went to their place afterward for coffee and to chill out. We only got back home at like 2am.

But it doesn't finish there. There's another ceremony for them in our home town, Puttalam. We call this event a 'Walima' and it involves a lot of people and a lot of food. There was enough food prepared for 1200 people. Yeah, rub your eyes and believe it.

The Walima was held at our grandad's house cos it's massive and can support all those people. We spent 2 days before the Walima preparing the house.....only to be disappointed by rain. I mean, the tables and chairs for people to eat are laid outside so when the rain came, it made the place very muddy. Mercifully, the it wasn't that bad on the day of the Walima and everything went well. Hectic.....but well. Here's a picture of Farthab, Rushna and her family...

The food was unbelievably delicious. I keep to what I say. As soon as I go to heaven, I'm running to the biriyani stall :P

The next day I went to the beach with the couple and relatives. Went to one of our relatives hotel sight. Well, when I say hotel, it's actually little chalets for visitors. Each chalet has a bedroom, bathroom and it's own little pool behind it. The place is still under construction but should be ready soon.

Then we heard that he also owns an island. Can you believe that? AN ISLAND!!! So he called two boats to take us to the island. While waiting for the boats, we went to the pier that belongs to the hotel.

We played American Football on the beach before having lunch on the pier. And then the boat arrived.....

Only one boat came unfortunately, so a few of my relatives stayed back. The trip to the island took about 20 minutes. It's not a big island but it's big enough that we couldn't explore the whole place. We walked around and collected shells. Farthab and Rida( Rushna's brother) tried to catch one of the donkeys that roamed around the island and it just brayed and ran off. I know it's mean but it's one of the funniest things I've ever seen :P

It started raining so we headed back but before going back to the hotel, Rida told the boatman to take us to the sandbar that divided the lagoon from the Indian Ocean. You see, the island is actually inside the Puttalam lagoon. So we stopped on the sandbar which is about 40 meters wide. 40 meters of sand. We had sea on either side of us. It's a pity it was raining and we were already getting late going back cos it's a 1 hour drive. It is one of the most incredible places I've ever been to and I'm sorry I don't have pictures of this place because I didn't want to take my phone on the boat just in case the unexpected happened :P

We made the long trip back to Puttalam afterward and then later that night, drove to Colombo. It was without a question of a doubt, one of the most memorable and fantastic weeks ever :)

Letting go...

I just wanna say Congratulations and all the best with the whole new life you have ahead of you. I know it's stupid but I really, really am gonna miss you around here. I know we had differences in the past and I wanna take back everything nasty I ever said. Seeing your empty room is one thing, but knowing it's not gonna be with you in it ever again is another. We will see each other loads of times to come I know. Thanks to you, I became a stronger person than I was. Yes, thanks to you believe it :) You've always looked out for me and whatever you said or did in the past was to make me a better person. I am really gonna miss you around here and I know you will be an amazing husband as you've been an amazing brother. Thank you, Congratulations, All the best and God bless you bro :)

The weirdest thing

I'm pretty sure everyone on Earth has missed a flight at least once in their lives. It was my turn last week. I was suppose to fly back home last Tuesday, but after getting just 2 hours of sleep on Sunday night working on my entry for the Competition for uni and running to the far ends of KL on Mondays to finish up my shopping, I was so beat that I couldn't remember what time I fell asleep after finishing my packing. It sucked! I woke with less than an hour to go before the flight left. Knowing there is no way I can make it even if I drove like an absolute maniac, I tried to re-schedule my flight. I went to the airport anyways cos there was another flight i the afternoon which I could take if I was lucky. I wasn't. So I called the airline office and they put me on the waiting list for flights for the next three days. Thank god my dad booked Srilankan Airlines. If it was AirAsia, I would be screwed.

Now, I would've stayed calm and waited patiently for my next flight, whether it took a day or a week or a month. The problem is, my brother is getting married on the 25th and I was already late going back home to help out with the preparations. So I had to, absolutely Had to, get on the earliest flight possible. And AirAsia means I had to purchase a new ticket even if there were seats( which there weren't cos the flights are all fully booked for the entire month).

In the end, I managed to reschedule my flight to Friday and relax and get all the rest I could get before the flight cos all my shopping was done. On the day of the flight, I met up with a friend of mine going to India at almost the same time. The flight was packed and I was so grateful I managed to get on the flight at all.

I reached Colombo to be welcomed by another problem. The airline lost my bag that I checked in. So after lodging a complaint and knowing there's nothing I could do until I get news from them about my bag, I left the airport. My brother picked me up in his Honda Civic. Bloody fast car that! Best sounding car I've ever been in.

The next day I got a call from the airline saying they found my bag. So i had to go back to the airport and run around there filling forms and stamping them.

Anyways, I'm back now. That's all that matters :)

Fast needs no friends

The wait is over and finally, the game I've been waiting for for a almost a year is out and I got the original Limited Edition. It's none other than Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit - the game that has got more 10/10 ratings than you can count. And it was developed by none other than Criterion, the studio that brought us the Burnout series. Believe it! What do you get when you mix Burnout and Need For Speed together? One of the best racing games ever and I do mean EVER.

So after my final submission last Friday( I'm freeeeeeeeeee.....oh wait, not yet -.-"), I went looking for the game. It was on Saturday, in Sunway, that I saw the Limited Edition just calling my name from the shelf. I bought it straight away cos, honestly, RM139 is worth all of it.

Sure the game may not have the realism as to how the cars drive like in Gran Turismo or NFS: Shift, but Oh My God it looks good. The graphics are sensational and the cars - goodness gracious me the cars are gorgeous. I still can't make up my mind which is my favorite in the game. They picked every gorgeous car from every gorgeous car maker except for Ferrari. Now I don't know what the hell Ferrari's problem is but they really should let more games use their cars.

Oh, did I mention the graphics already? Take a look for yourself:

Is that just mouth-watering or what???

And it gets better. Not only do you get to try out some of the most beautiful cars in the world, you get to run from cops in them as well. And don't think that the cops are gonna chase you in jalopies. Whatever you drive, you can bet your life they have it too. They have the keys to the fastest police cars in the world and they wont be filling in health and safety forms and giving you warnings to stop your car. They'll take you down.....hard. With the police armed to the teeth with special weapons and tricks to stop racers, don't think that the racers are at a disadvantage. They got their own tricks and weapons to counter the cops. And yes, you can pick your side - be the most wanted racer or the most brutal cop in the county.

Then there's the Autolog feature, which they call the Facebook of gaming. It's a work of genius I tell you cos all it does is make people annoyingly competitive and lose friends. I'm serious! You can race someone online, add them as a friend afterward, wait for them to beat your personal record on any event and send a personal message to enrage you even further. And if you cannot beat their record, you'll end up removing them from the friends list. Brilliant!

Of course, you have to be good and stop at nothing to be on top. I knew the Autolog feature is intense and competitive, but I never knew to what extent. It just makes you be the best of the best and you won't stop until you are on top. And then, after you've beaten a handful of really good players from all around the world, you feel like you are unstoppable. That's how competitive Autolog is. I've been enjoying the online racing, especially when you make friends with all kinds of people from all around the world.

The racing is intense just like any Burnout game and the speeds you reach are insane but possible in real life. And as big Burnout fan, I really like what Criterion has done to make the game go back to it's roots - back to Need For Speed the way it used to be. When they brought out Need for Speed: Underground, I was like "What in the world have you guys done?". NFS has always been about the open roads and taking an insanely fast car to the limits as well as dissing the law while you were at it. All this tuning and customization of normal everyday cars is not the NFS way. Now I love games where I can customize a car the way I want to but there are so many other games that can do that better.

I was still playing NFS: Hot Pursuit 2 on the PS2 when Underground came out. Hot Pursuit 2 on the PS2 is still one my all-time favorites. Not the PC or XBOX versions. Get the PS2 version cos it's different and way better than the other versions. 2010's Hot Pursuit is probably the direct sequel to Hot Pursuit 2. I know it's a bit confusing but trust me on this. Else you can go look it up on Wikipedia. The car chases and cars of hot pursuit 2 are amazing. The cops and the racers are evenly matched. I mean, cops had Lamborghini Murcielago cop cars in that game. No other game had that kind of thinking until 2010's Hot Pursuit.

And then came NFS: Most Wanted which was another one of my favorite racing games of all time. I didn't take much notice of the tuning feature in that because the car chases were fantastic. Gameplay-wise, the game was unbeatable until Hot Pursuit came along.

NFS should stick to what they are good at and that's why NFS: Hot Pursuit 2 and Most Wanted were my favorites until Criterion came along and blew them away with 2010's Hot Pursuit.

I think they could have improved the free roam a bit more and made it even more interesting and, personally, I wish the handling was a bit more realistic and not making 4WD and RWD cars handle the same way. But, overall, this is the a start and turn and for the best.

Thank you Criterion! You guys brought Need For Speed back! And I am looking forward to a sequel ;)

Hi!!! Remember me???

It's how I checked back on the last post I put on here and that post was the first post after a very long time. And here I go again. I guess this time it's a record.

Anyways, you haven't missed too much. My first semester of degree is done.....or that's what I thought until the lecturers surprised us all by saying we need to stay here till December the 10thFaidh might be coming to Malaysia to look for some universities but he needs to confirm first.

As for my gaming life, I played every game I was waiting for such as Medal of Honor( which was disappointing), Call of duty: Black ops( which was brilliant), James Bond 007: Blood stone( which was pretty good too), Star wars: The force unleashed 2( which was awesome but could have had a better story) and, best of all, NFS; Hot pursuit( I'll talk more about it in the next post).

Oh yeah, I got a another gerbil! Well, I got two gerbils, male and female, but the female died of, I'm guessing, old age. Anyways, the male I called 'Diggit' and he's either fast asleep right now or vigorously digging and scratching something. I am planning to get a companion for him but we'll see about that later.

Oh, did I tell you I'm actually typing this at uni? :D I gotta go. Ciao!

Good Grief!

It's been ages eh? Hang on, I need some time to clear the cobwebs off here :P Well to tell the truth, a lot has happened while I was away. Firstly, I got tonnes of assignments, two of the assignments include me leading a group project, I saved up and got myself my dream speakers: Sonic Gear Blue Thunder II 5.1s and got a b-e-a-utiful new 23" monitor with HDMI support.

Fasting wasn't that hard surprisingly. I think it's cos I usually don't eat regularly :P It was fun as well to be honest. And the fasting month went by so fast! I cant believe it :)

Got myself an automatic air freshener for my room and it'll take me some time to get used to it. I'm still jumping every time it hisses :P

I watched Cats and dogs: The revenge of Kitty Galore, Step Up 3D and Piranha. Step Up 3 was just awesome. The dancing is just so amazing and we watched it in 3D which made it just better. Piranha was really good as well. Would've been better if we watched it in 3D. The movie is just so brutal like you cant believe.

Will be going back home on Saturday. I wish the uni confirmed about canceling classes earlier so that I could have gone home today. Got one more day to finish up my shopping. Just gotta get chocolates and some clothes.

Can't wait to go back home :)

The vacation was too damn short. Argh, I'm still in vacation mood. But hey, I did it! I finished my diploma and now it's time for the degree. Feels so weird to finish, I dunno why.

My dad and Faidh came to Malaysia on Friday. Took them out here and there afterward. They stayed in Desaria so that it would be easier to go to uni on Saturday. And then Saturday came, I dunno why but I was so nervous. Went to uni in the morning to register for the ceremony. Met up with Amy, Grace and my classmates.

The ceremony was amazing and I got even more nervous when it was time for me to go on stage. After the ceremony was the photo session and then had to return the graduation gown. Had to leave to Singapore the next day and we booked Aeroline tickets from 1Utama cos the departure time from there was perfect. So after the ceremony, we went back to Desaria to change and collect our bags and we left for 1Utama asap. Our plan was to stay at 1World Hotel but they didn't have any good room available so we went to Eastin Hotel instead near Tropicana City Mall.

The trip to Singapore the next day was OK but I guess that's cos I was sleeping most of the time. The bus took almost 5 hours but it was very, very comfortable. Haven't been to Singapore for ages. I think the last time I went there was 5 years ago and a lot had changed. Gosh it's so expensive in Singapore. Almost everything is more than double the price than in Malaysia. That day was very hectic cos we had to rush here and there to find a hotel on Sentosa Island. Faidh has some project to do on Sentosa so he insisted that we stay on the island itself. So we took the cable car to the island.

We ended up staying at one beach resort where it wasn't too expensive. We went straight to Universal Studios afterward but the tickets were sold out already. So we bought tickets for the next day instead.

Went on the Sentosa Luge that evening but it wasn't as fun as last time cos it's so crowded and we couldn't race down the hill that fast. Later that night we went to the underwater world. And after that we bought dinner at Delifrance and we watched the 'Songs of the sea' from outside the actual show cos the tickets were sold out already :P

The next day was awesome. We had breakfast and went straight to Universal Studios. Basically the park is divided into Madagascar, 'Far, far away, The Lost World, Ancient Egypt, Sci Fi City and Hollywood. We walked straight to Ancient Egypt and went on the one of the best roller coasters I've ever been on. I simply cannot describe it so it's better you guys go and experience it yourself :P

After that we went to The Lost World and tried out the Canopy Flier which gives u the feeling of actually flying above the the jungle very fast. Faidh went on this other ride where they get on this circular raft that splashes through a river. He said it was really good even though he was drenched :P

We went to 'Far, far away' afterward but to me it wasn't much. Watched a 4D show there and that's it.

After that we went to Madagascar it was raining a bit so we din do much there.

Went to Hollywood after that and went to the studio where they simulated a category 5 hurricane. That was amazing honestly.

The best rides in Sci Fi City were closed so we had some snacks and left the theme park cos we were getting late and we had some shopping to do. So we went back to the hotel, got our bags and went into the city. We went to a game shop where my dad usually gets stuff for his business and I got myself an original 'Battlefield Bad Company 2' and an XBOX 360 controller for PC.

Then I found out how dirt cheap perfumes are there and got myself a CK Be. It's the small one cos dad thought that's enough for me but it's OK. I'm happy with it.

Then after we finished our shopping, we packed all of it into the bags and left for the airport straight away. The flight was just 30min and after we arrived in LCCT, I hung around with dad and Faidh cos they had a flight back to Srilanka in a few hours time. Then when it was almost time for them to check in, I left. This German guy wanted to share a cab cos it was still midnight and the cab prices are so expensive. So we found a cab driver who offered RM140 to drop me off at Desaria and take the guy to China Town in KL. I think it was OK to pay RM70 each cos I have to pay RM100 to take a cab alone.

Didnt do much since I got back from Singapore. Went out to IOI later on Tuesday with Neeral and his friends and we played some pool. Went to uni on Wednesday to register but I need an offer letter from the Marketing department first cos I'm starting degree and they refer to me as a new student. So I gotta wait till monday to get the letter before I register. On Thursday I had to goto uni again cos I had to pass up some passport copies and photos to the marketing department. Then, after I formatted my PC, installed Battlefeild and played online :P It really is as good as they say but I need to keep playing to get as good as the guys I play with. Raja and Valerian came over as well and we had a chat.

Anyways, time to get back to Battlefeild :P

Er.....The Kung Fu Kid?

Just think about it. Why would they call it 'The Karate Kid' when the movie is about Kung Fu and is based in China?

Just came back from the cinema after watching the new 'The Karate Kid' movie. And except for the pointless name, the movie was awesome.....FULLSTOP. Great story and awesome acting from Jaden Smith and Jackie Chan. The fighting is just intense and the action is very well done. The basic story is the same but the way they've captured it is totally different. Great movie, not a great name. But I would watch it again in a heartbeat! Oh, by the way, Germany is in top form and they don't seem to be slowing down. Good job and good luck fellas :)

Yeah I am back people! Arrived back on the 1st of July. I'm here for maybe 2 or 3 weeks depending on when I have to go back. I'm not sure yet so I'll just have to wait and see. I slept very well the last 2 days. I love my bed here cos I'm sure it feels like sleeping on a cloud :P So, so comfy. I will be saying goodbye to my portable hard-disk cos Farthab wasn't happy that I did not bring him a Momo or Sparco steering wheel for his Honda Civic so I'm giving this to him. I still have my 1TB external hard-disk so it's OK. Got a 23' Samsung monitor and a 2GB RAM for Faidh. He's only too happy bout it.

Didn't do much these 2 days except relax and take it easy. Still need to recover from last sem cos it was a nasty one. Just played my XBOX and downloaded Top Gear Season 15 Episode 1 (which is fantastic by the way). Apparently the Top Gear trio has to be serious from now on. Watch the episode and see how they manage that ;).

Oh yeah, my family got 2 more birds: another Cockatoo and a Myna. The Myna is very annoying cos it's still a chick and screams annoyingly almost all the time and the new Cockatoo gets bullied by the old one.

It's good to be home :)

Free at last...

Well, not exactly :( I may have finished all my assignments but I got one more presentation on the 29th of June in front of some industry people. Need to work on the Unreal engine some more and try to make some kick-ass work that they'll like. I got a week to prepare but I'm taking this weekend off cos I seriously need some rest after those hectic times.

Here's my character design. Some of you will think it's weird and even a bit gay but when you play games like Crysis, you'll know what I'm on about :D

And here's my weapon design. It's my idea of a fully automatic crossbow.

After Friday's submission, we went to Asia Cafe to watch the match. Played some pool as well while we were there as well. After the match, it was very late and Amy was tired so we went to spend the night at her place cos it's closer. The next day we went to Shah Alam to go cycling in Bukit Cahaya. Now THAT was a work out! I've been more tired.....ever! The cycling path had very steep hills and went through the woods.

Afterward we had dinner in Subang and Amy dropped us back home. I'm still tired and even though I just woke up, I wanna go back to sleep :D

I'm sorry but this bit of news that I'm gonna post here is too much for me keep inside :D I've always loved 'Need for speed' games and I have played every single one of them. Let me tell you that 'Most Wanted' and the Playstation 2 version of 'Hot Pursuit 2' are 2 of my all-time favorite games ever. Both give high-speed, intense racing action that I haven't seen in other games. And now, after 8 years, Hot Pursuit is back with Criterion behind the development. We are talking about the people who created the 'Burnout' series and let me tell you, every Burnout game that came out has been highly rated and racing cant get any intense or fun than that.

When I got the email from EA that Hot Pursuit is coming out in November, I just couldn't control my excitement. And when I saw the trailer and found out that Criterion is developing it, I laughed. Not because I found it ridiculous or something, but because I was so surprised I just couldn't help myself. Honestly, I can put my hands down right now and say the game is gonna kick-ass and I cant wait for it. I'm actually tempted to pre-order it :)

Hello, readers. It's been a long gap between posts but do you really want to know about my assignments? Cos that's what I would talk about. Got three final projects, two of which the deadlines are next week and the remaining the week after. I'm absolutely dumb-founded and my work mood has gone on vacation.

Last weekend, Sandeep called me up saying he's had enough of assignments and wants to go out. So I met up with him in IOI on Saturday and we watched 'Nightmare on Elm Street' and 'Robin Hood'. Both were pretty good although I liked 'Robin Hood' better cos of the story. It completely changed my view of Robin Hood.

Watched Shrek 4 on Monday. It was pretty good too. After that it was back to assignments again. I'm sick to the bone of them honestly.

Oh yeah, just saw the new trailer for 'Call of duty: Black Ops' and it is one of the best game trailers ever. The creators of the series really know how to make an announcement full-STOP. It's very soon for them to come up with another game so I hope it wont be disappointing. And personally, it's very unlikely ;)

Kick Ass! Money well spent. Seriously good movie and one of the coolest movies I've watched. It seriously 'kicked ass'.

Went to Sunway Pyramid with Gaby today. Wanted to watch it in IOI but it wasn't showing there. Honestly, when I saw the poster for the first time, I thought "Here we go. Another stupid movie from some lame ass director.". But nope, after hearing my friends' comments about it, I had to watch it. And it turned out to be one of the coolest super hero movies ever.

No doubt, Hit Girl is the coolest of all the characters. Honestly never expected her to be the one who loves to chop up villains. And she can seriously move. Every single action scene was awesome.

People, go find out for yourselves ;)

Disappointed...

OK for those who haven't watched Iron man 2 yet, don't read this post until you've watched it :P Watched Iron man 2 on Friday and it was great, no question about it. But you just cannot compare it to the first movie.

I guess it's mainly cos we already know who he is and who the bad guy would be when we watched the trailers. And then there's the fact they show more of Tony Stark as himself rather than as Iron man. War Machine was pretty cool too. And so was Black Widow. I didn't really think much of the villain though. Spoiler alert: The little scene at the end of the movie shows the hammer of Thor. Cant wait for that movie to come out :) Chris Hemsworth is suppose to play as Thor. Here's an image supposedly from the upcoming movie:

We watched Iron man 2 on the second day since the release. Went to Tropicana Mall to help out Grace with a video shoot for her project. Afterward, me, Shamini, Amy, Sai and Susan met up with Gaby at 1Utama. Got the first row seats only cos it was jam-packed then. Wasn't that bad actually unlike most cinemas where you'll get a stiff neck afterward. Watched 'The Losers' on Thursday at the Pavilion with Gaby. I also saw this:

I know.....I want one too ;) They put it there cos of the release of Iron man 2 that day and the Audi R8 Spyder is the feature car in the movie.

This is a pretty good movie too cos it combined awesome action with comedy. Some of the scenes will leave you astounded cos it's so cool. Honestly wouldn't mind watching again :P Now I just want to watch 'Kick Ass' cos I heard from Shamini, Martin and Amy that it is truly KICK ASS. Just hope they are right ;)

When 'Home' came to Malaysia

Finally get to update my blog about everything that happened the past week :)

Firstly, my parents and younger brother came to Malaysia for a visit. They arrived in Singapore on Tuesday morning and then got on a bus to Malaysia at 10am. I was still the phone trying to rent a car at the time and managed to get a Myvi cos dad told me not to go for a bigger car. The rental guy was nice enough to pick me up and then pass the car to me after dropping him off in Cyberjaya. Picked up Gaby from uni afterward before going to Desaria and getting ready to go to 1 Utama cos that's where the bus would be dropping my family off.

I got to 1 Utama and thought I'll park near the bus stop but the car park there was so full that I had to park very far from the mall. And honestly walking to the mall from the parking spot was like walking a couple of miles. So I wasted RM1 getting out of the car park and decided to park in the multi-story park instead. Better idea as it started raining by that time. I was an hour early so I thought I'll have a drink at Subway cos it was closest to the bus stop.

As time passed, I finally saw them walking into the mall. My elder brother, Farthab, couldn't come cos his passport had expired. Took their bags to the car and then we walked around the mall. Honestly, walking around 1 Utama is a workout itself. It's why I think my parents wouldn't go there again. Saw a few funny things there like a guy sleeping on a chair right underneath the no sleeping sign. Couldn't take a picture fast enough cos he woke up suddenly. Went to the vehicle parts shop which made me feel like a kid entering a candy store.

We left to Sunway afterward so my family could check into Sun Inns. Afterward had dinner in Sunway Pyramid and went back to Desaria cos I had class the next morning. My brother followed me and we met up with Gaby, who helped me sneak him in cos visitors cant come in after 10pm. Went to class the next morning to find one of my classmates sitting outside the labs waiting for our lecturer who did not turn up including the rest of our classmates. So we didn't have class so I drove back to Sunway( after picking up my brother) so that I could take my family to KL. Spent the whole day there. Went to KLCC and Petaling street. Then after dropping them off at Sunway again, I went back to Desaria again for that night cos I had class the next day. And guess friggin what? There was no class the next day either cos most of my classmates were in Bali on the study tour. Brought my family to uni cos my dad wanted to sort out a prob in the registry. My family met Gaby and Shamini afterward.

We went to Genting Highlands in the evening. Original plan was to spend a night there and return the next afternoon but everything was ruined cos all the hotels were full. I mean, First World Hotel has the largest number of rooms in the world, and they were ALL FULL??? Anyways, we spent half a day around the theme park but that was ruined too cos of the rain which we could do without in Genting. Oh yeah, I couldn't believe the sales that were going on. Got some good deals on clothes.....in Genting!!! I seriously couldn't believe it :P Went back to Sunway a bit later.

The next day we went KL again after prayers in Sunway. Went to Lowyat where we met Gaby, Shamini, Susan, Sai and Rizna. We went to Times Square afterward and spend the rest of the day there. Faidh and dad went to watch 'Clash of the Titans' while I accompanied my mom shopping cos I watched it already. After the movie, we had dinner at Marry Brown and went back afterward.

The next day was hell. HELL I tell you! Got lost in KL trying to figure out how to get to Masjid India cos we took the 'Fedehell' Highway. I've had enough driving on that highway cos I've been driving up and down it for 5 days straight. Anyways, managed to get into Masjid India eventually. Afterward my dad wanted to try and find the temporary bus station at Stadium Negara cos Puduraya was being renovated or something. That was hell and we got lost again so I thought we'll forget bout it and go back and try for Aeroline again or some other bus service. We went to 1 Utama first to see Gaby's performance at the 'Paint my ride' event. Saw the three finalists' designs on three Lamborghini Gallardos. Met Mr Peter as well. After the performance, Gaby followed us to The Curve but then she got news that Grace had some personal problems and had to leave with Shamini and Susan, who also came to 1 Utama for the event.

After dropping my parents off at Sunway, I rushed to Cyberjaya for another event at The Studio cos Gaby was performing there as well. Got there on time but it took some time for the event to start. Went to Heron to pick up Grace with Shamini and got back in time for Gaby's performance. After we reached Desaria, one of the guards saw Gaby's guitar and demanded her to play a few songs for him cos he was bored. Ended up talking with the guard for some time. He's a very friendly guy :)

Had to rush to Sunway the next morning cos my family still hadn't booked bus tickets to Singapore. Went to Midvalley first cos it was closer and there was one bus service located there. Went to KL central afterward because the bus service there was more convenient. Got the tickets and went back to Sunway so my family could do a bit of last minute shopping. Oh yeah, I parked the car at the hotel cos they had to pack and keep the bags ready to go. I wanted to take the car to Pyramid but dad said no need. Met up with Gaby again in Pyramid. We got a bit late there and had to rush to the hotel. And guess what? It friggin started raining and we all got soaked. Rushed the bags into the car and drove like a madman to get to KL central cos I thought the Federal Highway would be jammed cos of the rain. Luckily it wasn't and we made it in time.

Waited about half an hour for the bus to arrive and my family left to Singapore again. Was really sad afterward :( Felt so alone again.

Met up with Gaby afterward and went to the Pavilion for dinner. Did some shopping and went back to Desaria afterward. Met that guard again as we entered Desaria.

Was suppose to go to KLCC today morning but overslept. Oh yeah, I watched 'How to train a dragon'. It's one of my favourite animated movies and those who have watched it would agree with me :)

Loved the story and the dragon. He's so cool and cute at the same time. And the name 'Night-Fury'? So damn cool. Can say it's one of the best animated movies till now.

Was invited to a party by my housemates to one of their rooms where they celebrating there friend's birthday. They are playing this musical instrument from Iran and it sounds beautiful. The guy who's playing it can seriously pluck some nice tunes. Can still hear it right now :) Tomorrow? Hopefully I wanna go to gym with Sandeep. Now? I wanna sleep ;) Good night!

Epic Fail

You would agree cos last week I said I wouldn't go out on the weekend and concentrate on my assignment instead. FAIL!!!!!!!!!!

Ended up renting a car wit Sandeep on Friday because he had to shoot a photo documentary the next day in KL. That was one of the worst days ever! Was just so stressed out especially since I did not get any sleep the night before cos I was up doing my assignment. A 1 hour sleep the next night did not help either and neither did running around KL and travelling on the LRT the whole day. Then I had to pick up Gaby from her friend's party later that day. Managed to get a bit of sleep that night though. Next day had to go to KL again and then drop Gaby off at church.

Drove like a maniac to reach Cyberjaya so I can return the car on time. Guess what happened when I got there? Yup, the rental guy was not there and he told me to come back a bit later. So I went to Cyberia to visit Ferry. He decided to take a break from the assignment he was doing and showed some funny videos on YouTube. Honestly haven't laughed like that in a long time :)

The rental guy called me afterward so I left asap. The guy agreed to drop me off at Desaria for 10 bucks cos the fuel wasn't enough. But then he got a call from a customer who had crashed one of his cars. Turns out the car was the rental guy's personal car and he was PISSED. Had to stay at the crash site till everything was sorted. The rental guy apologised and dropped me off for free cos he kept me waiting :)

Went to Midvalley today. Had to go out so I can withdraw money and pay my Celcom bill. Decided it was easier to travel to Midvalley than Sunway cos we took public transport. My family is visiting me tomorrow :) They'll arrive in Singapore in the morning and then take the Aeroline bus to Malaysia. Will be arriving here in the afternoon at 1 Utama. Just hope I can get a car in the morning. I honestly cant wait :)

Honestly, I'm am so bloody tired the past few days, mainly because I've been going out non-stop the last week.

It all started last Sunday when we went to visit the refugees. That was such an amazing trip and it showed me how much I've been taking for granted cos honestly, those poor families have nothing. Bad living conditions, very little food, burning hot in the day time and insects buzzing around at night. It's very sad to see people living like that.

So we donated stuff like coloring books and food. Mainly concentrated on the kids. But it's so sad to see the kids smiling and having fun even though they live in such bad conditions. We left the place in the afternoon and went to have lunch at Padi in Cyberjaya.

Went to uni on Monday cos I was so excited bout getting my new Wacom :P I made the payment for it the week before. Had to settle some other stuff to like my Visa so I had to get the necessary documents photocopied. The other reason I went to uni was ROCK BAND!!! Argh, I'm so addicted to it! I just want to make a copy of the game room keys and just sneak in there whenever I can. I never knew I would be hooked on this type of game.

Finally got my Wacom on Wednesday. Was so excited that I started trying it out as soon as I reached Desaria. I regret not getting one earlier cos it's so useful and makes my life a whole lot easier.

Funny thing happened on Thursday. Came back from class at 2.30pm started playing some games before starting on my assignments. At 3.30 I lay on my bed for a bit. Next thing I know, I wake up at 8.30pm and wondered why it was so dark in my room. Since I was so comfortable, I thought I'll just enjoy the comfort a bit longer. Ended up waking up at 11.30pm. So basically, I got my good night's rest in the afternoon. Not wanting to waste anymore time, I worked on my assignment after dinner. Did not sleep the whole night. This sem is slowly killing me :(

Friday was awesome, even thought I had probably the toughest class of the whole course. It was fun though. Saturday was spent by visiting the refugees again so they can celebrate Easter properly. Gaby brought her church friends along so they can sing and play music for them. Had an awesome time. Watched 'Clash of the Titans' finally. Personally, I think they could have done better. It was rushed and the last 30 min of the movie was good. So yeah, I was very dissapointed. It could have been a very good movie.

Sunday is the big one. My first live Formula 1 experience. We left at 8am to Sepang. We beat the traffic and everything but we were too early. I honestly thought the Formula 1 was at 9am. Then I found out it was at 4pm, meaning we had a lot of time to kill. Hung in the motoring museum mostly cos it was so cool there. IT WAS HOT!!! Hellishly hot! I kept asking myself "Can it get any hotter?" Before the race started, a group of fighter planes roared over the track and made me think that no one in the world is cooler than a pilot :P Afterward, the pace cars went round the track. A Mercedes Benz C-class AMG and the new Mercedes SLS AMG, two of the most ferocious sounding cars on the roads today. I think the C-class sounded much more louder and brutal. I just love the sound of an AMG V8. Those guys in Germany sure know how to make an engine.

Shortly afterward, we heard the screaming of a Formula 1 V8. The drivers were having like a practice lap. Hearing those cars in real life is one unbelievable feeling. Those cars absolutely scream and they sound so brutal. It sounds like the cars might explode any moment. The experience was fantastic. Just sitting there and watching those cars scream by made me forget about the stupid heat and all the discomfort that came after me earlier. I just hope it wont be my last F1 experience either :)

Ended the day by having dinner at Alamanda mall. Bought pizzas and ate by the fountain while talking bout random stuff. And now I'm so friggin tired, I don't wanna go anywhere for the whole week :P

Rocking the afternoon away...

I know I'm craving for it and no one can blame me for it. I MUST PLAY ROCK BAND! It's just so fun! I know I don't usually play games that involve hitting the right buttons at the right time but this is something else. And so addictive!

Here I am going to class and waiting for the class to finish so that I can check if the game room in uni is free so I can get a couple of mates to join me for a session. Today's session involved me on the guitar more although I prefer the drums. Sham didn't wanna budge from the drums do I took bass guitar. And then there's my seniors who seem to have super-human reflexes and play on expert level. Gosh they have so much time on their hands. I mean, in my opinion, the difficulty levels in Rock Band should not be easy, medium, hard and expert. It should be easy, hard, impossible and 'Are you insane???'. I think I finally cracked medium but that would depend on the song too. I just wanna get myself a real drum-kit and start learning :P Argh, someday, Fadil. Someday.

What's it like living at more than 20000 feet in the air?

Well, if you watch 'Up in the air', you'll know. Watched it today at Pyramid and it's a pretty good movie. I must say that guy has a horrid job and a very strange life but at least he's good at it.

The movie is about a guy who is hired by a random companies to fire their employees cos the bosses don't have the heart to do it themselves. And he basically travels most of the time and is seldom at home. I wouldn't mind travelling a lot but come on. A life like that means your home is a seat on an airline.

Oh yeah, when I said I wouldn't mind travelling like that, i meant in business class. There is no way i wanna be cooped up in a flight for more than 3 hours. Hell no! But it would be nice to go to the airport, choose your destination, swipe your card on this machine which straight away print out your ticket and off you go.

I made a list of the top 10 places I will visit in my lifetime.

1) Namibia (I basically just wanna visit anywhere in Africa)

2) Egypt

3) Dubai

4) Japan

5) Finland

6) Maldives

7) Indonesia

8) Vietnam

9) Italy

10) France

These places are a must on my list. Anywhere else is strictly after I complete this list :P Oh well, I gotta go finish up some 3D. Oh, the joy ;)

A little white lie can go a long way

Went to Sunway Pyramid today to meet up with Gaby. After listening to Paul talking non-stop about 'Green zone', I just couldn't wait any longer to watch it. So that's exactly what we did after we met and had lunch. Oh yeah, I met one of my lecturers, Mr Kevin, outside the cinema. Apparently he got free tickets. Forgot to ask him which movie he was gonna watch though.

The movie was brilliant and shocking. It's about an American soldier on orders to search for weapons of mass destruction hidden in Iraq. The problem is that every peace of intel they get is unreliable. This movie will show you the power of a little lie. Not gonna spoil it so I suggest you go watch it ASAP :P

Next movie I definitely want to watch in the cinema would be 'Clash of the titans' starring Sam Worthington and Liam Neeson. The trailer looks damn good so I really don't want to miss it :)

An interesting day...

Well, yesterday Paul asked me and Gaby if we wanted to join him for badminton. Paul is Gaby's friend from church in case you don't know. Since Gaby was meeting up with a friend of hers and had plans already, I thought I'll join Paul. So I woke up at 8am (on a Saturday morning), showered and got ready with a change of clothes ready in my backpack. Oh yeah, the shower nozzle was broken by one of the apes I live with. I assume it's the same one who broke the main door knob by inserting the wrong key in. So yeah, he started demolishing the apartment even before he entered it.

Paul picked me up at 9.50am and off we went to a badminton court near Kelana Jaya I assume. I didn't really pay attention to the road at the time. Was joined by his two friends: Kelvin and Jason. Had an awesome time and i found out my reflexes are actually pretty good. I should thank Modern Warfare 2 for that :P

Afterward, we went to this place that had the best biriyani I've had in Malaysia. It's in Kota Damansara and it's called biriyani station. Had the mutton biriyani which was awesome.

We were too tired to do anything else afterward, so we called it a day. Paul dropped me off at Desaria and went home to sleep :P I went to the management office right after I reached to complain about the shower nozzle. So there I was, waiting for the maintenance guy to come up and fix the nozzle so that I could take the shower that I needed. Maybe I didn't hear the him come in and fix it, cos someone was showering a while later. Yeah, it was the same ape that I assumed who broke it and I'm glad he didn't break this one too. The rest of my day involved me watching 'How I met your mother' and playing Crysis. And now I'm dead sleepy so I'll call it a night :)

What's been going on...

Yeah, another long pause between posts. A lot has happened though. Got three (*clears throat*) amazing housemates. I think they are very confused cos one states the other one is his friend while the other says he has no idea who the others are. And then there's the fact that they seem like they got their mental clocks wrong and put the lights on during the day and turn them off at night. Or maybe they can see in the dark. Then one genius decided to put a can of coca cola in the freezer. I hope it wasn't a practical joke or something cos there was frozen coke all over my parcels cos the can had exploded. Then comes the other part of my mind which concludes that two of them are gay. Hope I'm wrong.

The other day, Martin and Jo wanted to move into the unit and into the twin sharing room cos it was free now that our Pakistani friend, Muzzamil, had moved out. So the Desaria management decided they will reserve the room for them while they clean the room for them. Awesome right? That was until the part where one idiot (who is number 3 on my hated list in the Desaria management) didn't look at the reservation and checked in the latest addition to our household. And since they made that mistake and it's their fault, they didn't want to move this guy out and check in the people who reserved the room in the first place. Fantastic eh? Martin tried to talk this guy into moving to another room but it was like talking to a wall. So Martin and Jo are still staying on the 4th floor.

Classes and assignments are going OK. Got a presentation last Friday and one tomorrow. The lecturer is on a role. I need to get a Wacom tablet this sem. Will be helpful not only now but in the future as well. Other than that, I love my time table this sem cos it's all morning classes and that solves my laziness problem from last sem. Also I've been working on the Lamborghini design a little bit for the competition.

Got hooked on 'How I met your mother'. I can see why people love Barney. He's such an ass honestly :D Just started watching Season 1 and I love the series already.

Oh yeah, I might be going to Thailand soon. Went to KL with Shamini to the Thai Embassy so I can inquire bout it. Gotta go there again on Monday morning maybe. Still gotta wait for confirmation from my parents. Afterward, we went to Lowyat to get Gaby's Celcom broadband prob solved. Apparently they wanted her to bring her passport but I don't see why cos when I registered, they used my Mycad. SO now it's solved and hopefully she'll have her Internet tomorrow. Then I got myself some new fans for my PC cos the old ones were slow and getting clogged up with dust. This is before.....

Movies galore

Watched 'The book of Eli' yesterday. It started out slow and honestly I was disappointed as it progressed. But then came the end and what and end it was! It ended with a good twist. Honestly, if you hear of Denzel Washington in a movie, watch it! You will not be disappointed and I guarantee it. He is such a brilliant actor full stop!

The movie is based in post apocalyptic times. The fighting sequences are intense and brilliant and the story is awesome. Not gonna spoil it so I suggest you get to the cinema now :P

Also watched 'Paranormal Activity' the day before and it is, hands down without a doubt, the most disturbing movie I have ever watched. It's about a couple staying in a house and they are haunted by a demon. The scariest thing about the movie is that you have no idea what's about to happen and you will not be sure whether you want to know at some points. I think the director is a genius to make a movie like this and if any critics say it's not that good, I invite them to make a movie that can beat it :)

Installed Windows 7 Ultimate on Friday and I love it. It just gave my PC the kick it needed and everything looks so damn good on it. And yes, Left 4 Dead 2 works like a dream. Thank You Windows 7 :P Now I just need two new cooling fans for the PC cos the old ones are just not powerful enough :)

What's happening to me?

Why do I feel so down and tired today? I know I slept a wee bit late and I woke up at 7.30am. But still, feels like haven't slept for days. And this feeling I have is really puzzling me. Cant explain it and I don't like it. Wish the vacation was a bit longer.

Lamborghini - the mad supercar maker from the most mental part of Italy. One of their exotic works turned up at Limkokwing today. The Gallardo Lp560-4 is, I think, one of the most beautiful cars of all time. You look at it and you just want one. I got a taste of that today.

Went for my first class of the sem and the lecturer did and intro for the module and then told us that there's a funky Lamborghini coming to uni soon because of a competition. Now normally after the class I would've gone back to Desaria. But HELL NO I'm not gonna miss this :P Hung out at the plaza for some time and then I saw it at the entrance. And then it made it's grand entrance into the plaza. The car is surprisingly quiet I must say. Didn't expect that at all.

We were seated some way away from the car. Then I saw one of my lecturers and I wanted to ask him bout the competition. He was standing behind the car and after I finished talking to him, the driver turned it on and revved it. The sound of that V10 was amazing. Not as loud as I expected but still..........what a sound!!!

So about the competition...it's my kinda thing. Design a vinyl for the car. So yes, I will register for this competition if, and only if I can make the payment for registering. It's a lot but I'm very confident about it ;)

My 13 year old G-Shock just gave out the other day. Went swimming in Heron and I usually wear that watch when I go swimming. Well, I don't know how it happened but water managed to get inside and ruin it. I removed it asap and kept it wit my clothes. Later I opened it up and I knew it was all fried inside. I replaced the battery very recently so if the watch doesn't work, it's completely dead. I'm not giving up tho. This watch means a lot to me :(

Oh well, 9am class tomorrow again. Hopefully I will have the mood the go to the gym afterward :P

Preparing for the new sem

Well, that's what I would call it. Classes gonna start soon so I thought I definitely need a new hard disk. Went to Low Yat the other day with Ferry and got myself a Seagate 1 TB external hard disk. I'm tired of deleting stuff to make way for new stuff in my 160GB hard disk. And last sem's projects are still in my PC cos it was too big to put in my old hard disk.

Desaria's Internet sucks big time. I had no choice but to use it all this time. This sem though, they have introduced a new feature where you can log in only from one PC. It's OK cos it's safer and other people cant use your Internet then. But I need to use my PC and my laptop. So I went to Midvalley yesterday and subscribed to Celcom's broadband. RM68 a month but I can use it anywhere I want so I think it's worth it.

Oh yeah, since I gave my old perfume to Faidh, thought I'll get myself a new one. Got myself a CK IN2U.

Now I'm all prepared for the coming sem :P

It's amazing how being internetless can drive you crazy. I've been without it for a week. Tried to use Gaby's net yesterday but it was so slow I had to switch it off else I'll throw the laptop out. Just subscribed to Celcom Broadband. Speeds are pretty decent but I'm just glad to have Internet. And i can use the net wherever i want. Nothing much happened the past week. Shopping and going out mostly. Registered yesterday for my last sem. Also got my beloved PC back. I also got myself a 1TB hard disk. Going to Lowyat tomorrow to get my PC some new fans.

Yup, two more days and its back to Malaysia. Back to late, sleepless nights and assignments. Trying to enjoy the last few days I got here. Oh, my bro got himself a new car. Well, old car actually but what a car. It's a fifth generation, slightly tuned Honda Civic SiR and it sounds really good.

Haven't got to drive it yet cos work is being finished on it in the workshop. Oh yeah, just watched Zombieland. It's disgustingly and stupidly funny and cool. I wanted to watch this movie cos I had the Left 4 Dead craze around me at the time. Actually I still do have it around :P

It's worth watching if you all think it's not good ;)

A trip down memory lane

I was looking at my family's photo albums earlier. Goodness, it made me laugh to see how much I've changed from a wee lil toddler to my current self. And then to see how my family has changed so much. It's nice to go through and find stuff you forgot about and the people you meet and places you have been too. I saw pictures of my family and I in U.K. I can very barely remember that trip cos i was a year old at that time. I still laugh when I see myself toddling around in those pics :D

Update on our bird: Bloody annoying! Especially when he doesn't stop whistling and screeches non-stop in the day-time. And he also developed a habit of whistling according to the ringing phone.

Got my ticket to Malaysia today. Leaving on the 19th and I cant believe how fast these two and a half months have just run by. Another sem of computerised hell is gonna start soon. Gotta be prepared.

Quite a day

Today I conquered a frontier I haven't been to for a long time......................the kitchen. Yesterday, I decided I would cook dinner and save the cash. There were two packets of noodles so I thought I'll make a murtabak mee that Gaby showed me how to make. Since I really like it, I wanted to make it myself. I added four eggs, cos I thought three wasn't enough. It was all going terribly well until I started to fry it and it went terribly wrong. I added too much of the noodle into the frying pan and I couldn't flip it properly with our spatula. So it went from terribly wrong to down-right disastrous as I failed over and over again to flip the darn thing. In the end, it was edible and had some taste but looked like this:

I did not despair. Had some more noodle left so I tried again. This time, I added less and it was easier to flip. And voila!!!

Obviously not as good as Gaby's and lacks meatballs, sausages and corned beef. But I'm genuinely proud of it. Another addition to my not-so-big list of cooking achievements. Thanks for the recipe, Gaby :)

In the morning, I went for another pool session. Played for two hours before getting back home cos my friend said he was coming over. Honestly, everyone wants my collection of Top Gear. Anyways, he's the one who gave me seasons 8-10. So I returned the favor. After he left, I watched 'Push'. Pretty cool movie actually.

It's about people with special powers like seeing into the future and moving objects with their minds. There's a government organization trying to capture and experiment on these people. And these people are trying to fight back.

All in all, a good day. Thanks again Gabz :)

Hooked on the new channel we got on Tata Sky. It's called Discovery Turbo and all I can say is God finally answered my prayers to bring a channel with shows only about vehicles. Brilliant! Honestly, if I had the time, I would just sit on the comfy couch and watch the channel the whole day.

Had another pool session today with my cousins and bro. Since today is our independence day, the pool parlour was jam packed but we were lucky to get a table. Played pool for two hours before going back home and greeted by over-excited Farthab. He just went to see a car he's planning on buying: an old Honda Civic which is tuned up. He just went on and on about the car. He test-drove it and he loves the sound and the performance it gives. Hope he gets it and I honestly cant wait till he does.

I woke up at 7am today. Yea, I know. Pigs are flying and are reporting that it's snowing in the Sahara desert. Back to topic, my dad and elder bro went to Puttalam in the early morning. So it's my job to drop my brother and his friend off at school. So, I jump outta bed, wash up, throw some clothes on, drink tea and set off. Now, I've posted many a time about Srilankan traffic being unorganized chaos. Well...the school run is like driving through hell itself. After coming back home, I was wide awake already. So I thought I'll work on some Photoshop. You see, I mess around on Photoshop just to keep myself prepared for the upcoming sem.

On the other hand, my cousin is leaving for UK tomorrow. He's off to uni in London so we visited him before he goes. We ended up talking about Srilankan politics, which I would rather look at a dead cockroach than bother about.

I got these like 4 years ago. They're not that powerful. Just a range of 1km. But they are good enough :P

Here I am, frankly bored out of my mind with nothing much to blog about so I'll talk bout my brilliant headphones which my brother gave me. These are Philips Gaming headphones with it's own adjustable volume controls and enough bass to blow your brains into the middle of next week.

My bro said he didn't like them. Is he mad??? They are amazing! I dunno what he's complaining about. I watched 'The lord of the rings' with this and it really made me feel like I'm in the movie. The bass was awesome during the scenes when the horses ran past so it felt like the ground is shaking. And I love the adjustable volume cos my laptop's volume is so low even bats will have trouble hearing anything. Playing music is fine through the laptop's speakers or headphones but videos always were a problem. Half the number of movies in my hard disk are yet to be watched cos the volume is so low.

The only drawbacks are that it needs one AAA battery to work and if the volume is high enough, everyone else can listen to what you are listening to.

What the hell!

I've been having a Lord of the Rings marathon past few few days and these are the HD extended versions of the trilogy. And it's amazing to see scenes that I did not see the first time I watched the movies. There's at least 30 minutes of scenes missing from the ordinary and theatrical versions. Basically watching the extended versions is like watching a different movie. I'm not gonna spoil it for people who haven't watched the extended versions and if anyone hasn't watched the trilogy yet, I suggest you get the extended version cos it is way more interesting..........and at least 3 hours long :P

Oh yeah, I also finished my Top Gear marathon..........which I started a month ago at season 1 episode 1. Well, it took this long cos I only get to watch it in the night. Hmmm, now what do I watch?

Big Bro's Birthday

Farthab's an year older today :P Just came back from dinner at Cinnamon Grand where he treated us. Rushna and her mom also joined us and we went to a Mongolian barbecue buffet. It's something like Soul Garden but the chef does the cooking. So we walk around and pick the raw meat and vegetables and give it to the chef who adds rice, noodles or spaghetti to the selection and cooks it.

Had dessert afterward which was ice cream mixed with fruits and nuts and other stuff. Really enjoyed it :)

Oh yeah, I finished all Left 4 Dead 2 campaigns. Damn that was so much fun! I cant wait to play it on my PC. I cant believe I totally forgot about it cos I brought it from Malaysia myself. Since I finished most of the games I have, I was rifling through my games and I found it. My favorite character is Nick- the guy in the white suit. "Maybe the helicopter's made of chocolate":P I think Ellis is the funniest though. Cos he just cant shut up :D

Loved the last part of the last campaign. Ran outta fuel in my chainsaw and bullets in my rifle. So I ran into the horde with my frying pan :P As ridiculous as it sounds, it was one helluva ride. Even managed to finish off a 'tank' with the pan, even though it was weakened by my teammates. It's one of the most fun games I've played yet. Brilliant!!!

He's put an Autobot badge on it as well :P Lucky guy. But I still dunno how he's gonna live with it everyday with the bad roads of Colombo. Not to mention the outrageous fuel prices. I heard from my cousin that there are 3 Aston Martin DB9s here as well. All I can say is Good Luck to them :P

As days go by

Met up with Sanjaka and his girlfriend Rosa today. She came from Indonesia last Sunday to see him and she's going back this Sunday so it's great I got a chance to meet her while she's here. Came back from mosque to find out I had a couple of missed calls from Sanj. Gave him a call straight away and learned both of them were hanging out and clothes boutique nearby. So I went there straight away and met them. They were going to watch 'Avatar' in the cinema in a short while, so I thought I'll meet up with them after the movie. Went back home, changed, had lunch and went to work where they said they'll meet me.

We met up and went to a cafe near my house cos they wanted to have some Kothu Roti. After the meal we took a trishaw and went to Queen's cafe to play some pool. Hung out there for like an hour before we said 'Goodbye' and went our separate ways. It's been more than a month since i played pool and it was good to play it again. Will be going there on Sunday with my work colleague to shoot some pool for a few hours.

Wish some of my friends from Malaysia could visit me here :) Oh yeah, there was a solar eclipse in the afternoon. I realised that the sun wasn't as bright and hot as it usually is on Friday afternoons. It's stupid to try and look at the sun to see the eclipse but you know it's happening cos it looks like the sun is setting even though it's 1:30pm. Tried to take some pictures but it doesn't show the eclipse on cam cos the sun is still bright enough.

Faidh got a new guitar today. He's going absolutely Ga-ga over it :P I've always been interested in a drum set so I got a lot of money to save to get one of those :P

Anyways, time to get back to 'Lost'. I'm totally hooked on it :P Ciao!

Well, I dunno what else to call it. But this laptop is old and dying but it's still putting up a fight. Here are the problems:

1) Right after formatting, and even before I connect to the Internet, the CPU usage will be spiking or stay at 100% constantly. It comes on and off randomly whenever i restart the laptop.

2) The keyboard and touch-pad have minds of their own and work or go on strike when they want. Because of that, I need to use an external keyboard and mouse.

3) The power button works whenever it wants to as well. I usually have to disconnect it from the adapter and pull out the battery to switch it off.

4) When I was in Malaysia, I took it outta my bag and a couple of the keys fell out afterward.

5) The DVD drive can only play DVD movies and CDs but cannot read DVDs that have been written on recently.

6) The battery meter says I have only 5 minutes of battery left even after fully charging it. I left it on battery the other day and it worked for more than an hour and a half.

And you know what? I don't care. Cos when it works, it works well. It's officially my first computer. And I almost sold it for parts for Rs21000 last vacation, and I'm glad I didn't. When I first got it, I was playing games on it that better laptops my friends had couldn't. It has a 64MB ATI graphic card which is extremely small compared to my PC's 1GB Geforce. And it had only 512 MB of RAM. But I managed to play F.E.A.R, Call of Duty 1 and 2, NFS Most Wanted and NFS Carbon, Test Drive Unlimited, Doom 3 and Halo 1 and 2. It's during my 4th sem at Limkokwing that I upgraded it with 2GB of RAM and that made a hell of a difference.

The most annoying laptop in the world or the most amazing laptop in the world? I think it's downright amazing.

Oh yeah, I watched "The Brave one" yesterday on DVD. I'm surprised I didn't get watch it earlier cos it released in 2007.

It's about a woman who lost her fiance in a random mugging and when she recovered from the attack, she became a vigilante who wanted revenge. It's a very good thriller Starring Jodie Foster and Terence Howard. You guys should watch it :)

Just finished Top Gear Season 14 :( Argh!!! When are they gonna be on again only God knows. But I hope it's soon. I just cant get enough of it.

Even at the last episode when they had a tight budget, they didn't go off quietly. Hammond's review of a new supercar was awesome especially the way they made it look like a comic book. It's just so cool. And what a car! It's one of my favourites already :P

Clarkson was being rubbish and ridiculous as usual with his road test. Still thoroughly enjoyed the whole season.

Got kinda addicted to 'Lost' as well. It's twisted, shocking and funny at times too.....much similar to an Indian TV drama except that there isn't a person crying in the middle of a family gathering. And the drama goes on for.....I dunno.....decades? Sandeep told me about a series that ran for 20 years or something. Sheesh! Mom and Dad's favourite drama finished finally after like 12 years I think. It's kinda annoying when they yell at you when you forget to record it when they went out. I mean, I don't complain when they don't record Top Gear which goes on Sunday nights when I'm usually driving from my home town to Colombo.

Anyways, I managed to download all the seasons of the new studio based Top Gear. Call me obsessed but I'm pretty sure you'll understand when you watch a few episodes :)

How to end the first day of 2010

Yeap!!! Just got back from watching 'Avatar'. And I'll describe it in one word: Fan-friggin-tastic!!! It's easily the best movie of 2009. And what a way to start the new year :P

James Cameron is a genius cos apparently he was suppose to release the movie in 1999 but instead he waited for technology to catch up cos the technology at that time wasn't enough for his vision of the movie. Brilliant!!! Every little aspect of everything in the movie had jaw-dropping detail. The world design was perfect, the creature design was perfect, the vehicle design was perfect. It's just a jaw-dropping movie and I recommend it completely without a shadow-of-a-doubt.

The finale of the year

What an amazing night! The engagement was a perfect ending to an amazing year. It was held at the roof top of a hotel by the seaside. Past few days were pouring with rain and even though the forecast was rain for that night also, our prayers won and the weather was perfect.

My parent and myself were busy the night before transporting the gifts from my aunty's house to our house. The gifts were decorated and wrapped up at my aunty's place. Had to use the pickup truck and our car to get them all to our house. After a painfully slow drive to make sure the fragile cargo wasn't damaged in anyway, we arrived at home and carried the stuff upstairs from the garage. The next day we had to carry them down again after getting ready. There's no way we could have kept those in the garage cos there was a cake involved and there's no space to park the car then.

Isn't it pretty? :P

A slight drizzle of rain scared everyone as we were leaving the house. But the weather got better when we arrived at the hotel. We drove into the basement car park and unloaded the stuff. The staff elevators went up to the rooftop and were small so the stuff had to be taken up one by one. Nothing went wrong mercifully. My cousins and I did the photography and video. The quality of the pics from my phone are crappy so forgive me :P

As the guests left. we packed the gifts we received into the car and went home. Woke up the next day with an elephant of a headache. Delivered some stuff in the evening and went to visit a relative in the hospital. He's under 5 yrs old and the doctors say he got pneumonia. I hope he recovers fast cos it's sad to see him playing with his building blocks on a hospital bed :(

Out and about

Been some time since I updated here. Nothing much has been going on past few days. My cough is gone so I can go to work again.....not that it's something to shout about. One thing to shout about is.....my bro is getting engaged :) Yep, Farthab is getting engaged. Being 5 years older than me, it's bout time anyways :P

But yea, I've been busy driving around with my mom so she can buy stuff for the engagement. The engagement is on the 29th of this month, which is next week. Drove mom and her friend here and there so they can get whatever they needed for the engagement. And I've had enough driving in Colombo cos, as I mentioned before, it's a nightmare driving here. Earlier, the driver of the car in front of me rear ended the car in front of him. It was so funny to watch them argue in the middle of the road but I didn't have time to watch cos I was rushing.

Anyways, I'm gonna be busy for the next few days. Ciao :)

Creepy stuff

Creepy? Well it's a cute lil dog that was looking up at me while I was waiting in the car outside my aunty's place. Friendly lil guy. Just came up to the car and looked up at me with his face tilted to a side. So cute :) Prob was it was dark and I had to use the flash, which gave the above result. Too dark to take a proper pic of the dog so that's the only one I got.

Lately I've been hooked on this TV show called 'Destination Truth'.

It's about this team that investigates strange creatures and haunted places all over the world. Something like 'Ghost Hunter' but this includes living creatures that people seem to be seeing or being attacked by.

From abominable snowmen to sea monsters, it really shows that our world is still full of surprises. I mean take the Amazon jungle. They say only 40% is explored. So there's still plenty of jungle left to contain all kinds of weird stuff. Then there's the oceans. They say in total, only 10% of the water is explored. No one can properly explore the deepest parts of the ocean such as the Mariana Trench. There could be anything in there and I mean ANYTHING.

Take the most famous example of a mystery creature, the Lochness monster or Nessie as they call it. People who visit the lake or live by the lake claim to see this creature, which looks like a Plesiosaur (type of dinosaur that lived in the seas which has a long neck and fins like a whale). Known as Scotland's greatest treasure, this elusive creature hides in this large lake and it's very hard to explore this lake properly.

So there you are. Our Earth is full of surprises. Each and every country has there own beliefs and legends. But maybe.....just maybe.....some of them can be true.

How hard can it be?

The famous line from the latest seasons of Top Gear. Now for those who don't know, Top Gear is my favorite TV show. I've been watching since......Oh I cant remember. The original Top Gear came out before I was born: 1977. And till 2001, they had almost the same format, bit of comedy and loads of tips and information about cars. When Top Gear was relaunched again in 2001 in studio format, it was just as informative with a bit more fun to it. Presented by Jeremy Clarkson( still going strong and better than ever), Richard Hammond( just as childish as Jeremy) and Jason Dawe( who finds the best deals and bargains for cars), it was better than the old Top Gear. And then with Season 2, James May replaced Jason Dawe and the series turned into a ridiculous comedy show which delivered thrills and fun.

Now the latest Season( 14) is running and the last episode I watched( episode 4) is the funniest one yet. It's an enormous change from the original series but it has become better than ever. However ridiculous the presenters seem to be.....however pointless their pursuits are, I love this series more than ever. And I'm sure many people around the world think the same.

Remember the troublesome green parrot my brother got? Well...he was too wild and troublesome to keep so my parents gave him off. They got another cockatoo but it died a few days later apparently. So yesterday, my parent went to a bird show or something and got this guy.

Went to Puttalam for 2 days. It's nice to be away from the hustling bustling city for a bit. Problem there is that without warning, the electricity will be cut off for hours at an end. This is why I dont like going there. The climate is something similar to deserts.....really hot in the day, really cold in the night.

Trip to the coconut plantation was kinda fun as they caught one of the pests which turned out to be a grey squirrel. Turned out it's very tame and has no problem jumping on your shoulders and eating from your hand.

The rest of the day was uneventful except attending my cousin's wedding. Left to Colombo late that night and arrived at about 1.30am. Security is still very strict here even though the war is over. I guess they'll give it another year or two before relaxing. Cant blame them really, however annoying the security checks are.

Not been doing much these past week. Been trying out Assassin's Creed 2( which is awesome by the way) and Left 4 Dead 2( which I cant wait to try on my PC cos playing on the XBOX is really annoying). Gonna start working next week so that I have something to do during this vacation. I don't like long vacations like this.

Sorry for not updating. Din really get to use my internet much past few days cos I was busy, busy, busy. I'm back home already. Arrived this morning at 7.30am and had to wait for my parents to drop my brother at school before they could pick me up. Had to wait till 8.10am before I was on the way back to Colombo from the airport.

Tom, Jen and Jerusha dropped me and Gaby at LCCT. Gaby's flight was at 12pm but she followed me to the airport anyway and decided to wait till it was time for her flight. We wont be seeing each other for almost 3 months, so it was nice to spend time with her there. Tom and Jen had to pick up their mom from KLIA so it was easy for them to drop us off first and then go pick her up. We hung out at LCCT for a while, had breakfast at Mcdonalds. Then came the sad moment where I had to leave.

The flight was uneventful except for the atomic headache I had from the time I woke up from my nap the night before. Was sitting next to Malaysian Indian family from Ipoh who were going to Srilanka for a vacation. I wish my friends could follow me to Srilanka one day. It would be awesome.

Changes to the house this time? yeap, good ones. Got a new provider for satelite TV which is suppose to be very good. Got an aircon in my room now( which is probably the best addition ever cos my room is like an being stuck in an oven which was placed in the middle of the Sahara desert). Got a whole bunch of new games to keep me busy for at least a couple of weeks.

Gosh it's 3 months. It's gonna feel like eternity :| Anyways, happy holidays everyone. God bless. Stay safe and have an awesome time :)

Submitted the last of my assignments today. I'm free at last. Going back home on the 30th so I have plenty of time to chill and do my shopping and stuff before I go back. The Faculty of Creative Multimedia had BBQ today and it was fun. Lots of food, games and then afterward, Rockband :)

I cant believe my assignments are all done. Yeap, time to sleep nicely the whole day tomorrow, but oh, there's a surprise tomorrow. Electricity will be cut from 10am to 6pm. Gonna wake up and go out, hopefully to IOI mall and buy 'Left 4 Dead 2'.

And I'm falling asleep as I'm typing this so good nite.

Lambo passed away today. Cause of his death is unknown but I suspect maybe he choked on some wood or something. Gonna miss him so much. Him digging in the corner, chewing on his favourite treats, butting his way through the bedding with his head, scratching at the wall in a corner.....basically all the things that made me smile after I get home from a long day, I am gonna miss.

Goodbye Lambo. We are all gonna miss you, little guy.

Exhausted more like it. Been driving the whole weekend and, as much as I love driving, I've had enough. Just wanna relax and play Modern Warfare 2 but I'm too broke to buy it :( Gotta finally start my assignment tomorrow and I'm not too confident about doing a good job honestly :(

Had to go to KL Central yesterday to check on whether I can change my return date for my flight from AirAsia. But then had to go to Ampang as well to help Gaby pass her assignment to her lecturer. So we decided to rent a car. We tried all the guys who we have rented cars from in the past but none of them had cars available. Then Gaby had this one number in her phone which we haven't tried before so we thought we'll try our luck. We were successful and next thing we were on our way to university to meet up with the person and collect a brand spanking new Nissan Latio Sport. Lemme tell you some of the features: 1.6 litre engine, wireless key, push button starter and (sadly) automatic transmission. And we got all this for a price that beats all the other car renters. And the car was beautiful to drive and I was seriously sad to return it.

I'm kinda glad it was an auto actually. Less stressful to drive especially since we drove it quite a way and was stuck in jams in heavy rain a lot. Ampang is an interesting place to go to.....if you have nothing else to do. Very hilly area and I think I would have enjoyed it if it wasn't raining so much. Trust me, you don't wanna drive in a hilly area when your visibility is impaired. So after 3 hours of wrong turns and asking directions, we finally got to where we were supposed to meet Gaby's lecturer's assistant, who will pass her work to the lecturer later.

After that we went to KL Central.....which we reached after what seemed like eternity. The rain really didn't help. Luckily I managed to get to the AirAsia office just before they closed. Gotta pay RM450 to change the date. Honestly, I'd rather not change the date cos paying this is like buying a new ticket. So then we decided to go to Pavilion and have dinner and maybe catch a movie.

We picked up Amy from Cyberia afterward cos we wanted to go to Asia Cafe and meet up with a Indonesian friend of Gaby's. Guess what? We friggin got lost again. We managed to meet up with her friend, hang out at her place for a bit and then went to AC to hang out.

After 4 hours of sleep, had to send Gaby to uni for practice for an event in KL later. Went to IOI later to pick some stuff up. Saw Modern Warfare 2( ARGH!!!) but there's nothing I can do bout it. Went to return the car afterward :( Amy picked me up from there and we went to pick Gaby up and send her to KL. After dropping her off, we went to KLCC cos Amy was starving. It's amazing how long you can go without food if you don't think about it. I'm talking bout myself. I was busy running here and there that I forgot about breakfast and lunch :| Met up with Sham in KLCC and after a meal, we went back to Pavilion to hang out till Gaby's work was done.

Now I'm back in my room, wishing the asshole who's stealing my net will go to hell. You don't wanna find out someone is stealing your Internet after you get back home from a stressful day. Oh well, getting my cash tomorrow, and hopefully, finally, I'll get to try Modern Warfare 2 :)

Yea. I'm in uni right, chilling in the game lab after class waiting for Gaby to arrive so we can have lunch together. I'm friggin bored cos the game lab is not as interesting as before. One other person other than me here and the games in computers are boring too. Since they formatted the computers the last time, they haven't bothered to install all the games again.

I remember the sems before when my classmates, my seniors, juniors and myself would get locked and loaded in battle playing Battlefield 2 or Left 4 Dead. But those days have gone with the wind.....I really miss those days :(

So here I am listening to, I think, the new radio DJ for Wings radio. They must've been pretty desperate at the audition cos the this DJ is about as lively and interesting as.....I dunno.....roadkill? And then it's a gloomy day.....a kind of a day when you just wanna snuggle in your bed and have a nice nap.

Came rushing to uni thinking I'm late for class and when I reach the lab, no one is in class. Pissed off, I called 2 of my classmates. One is probably sleeping cos he didn't answer and the second one is at home wondering who on earth is calling (I called from my Digi number which he doesn't have). Then he says that there's just progression checks for the final project so there wont be a class. Annoyed, I went to the plaza to have breakfast. Afterward I went to the lab again to give another try. One of the lecturers were there with one other classmate. And they asked me why I was late.

Yea, really having a ball here. Oops, gotta go. I see the other lecturer who I wanted to meet earlier. Ta!
